Macey White: Croquet Professional
Macey White started his croquet career in 2013 and has risen to be one of the top ranked croquet players in the United States. Macey’s teaching philosophies are developed from how he learned to play and how he rapidly progressed from a novice to an international level competitor. Macey’s instructional techniques focus on the physical mechanics and mental fundamentals of good shot making and sound decision making that are appropriate for the skill levels of his students.
Macey excels as a competitor and instructor in all 4 croquet games American 6-Wicket, Golf Croquet, Association Croquet and 9-Wicket.
- Macey is a 9-time 9-Wicket Croquet National Champion winning the 2018, 2019, 2023, and 2026 singles and 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023 doubles.
- Macey is ranked in the top fifteen in Golf Croquet in the US and was selected to represent the USA in the 2019 and 2024 World Golf Croquet Championships. Macey has won the Florida Golf Croquet Regional Championship 4 years running (2018-2021) and won the Golf Croquet Grand Prix in 2021.
- Macey is one of only 3 players in the US who is a Certified national level instructor and referee in Golf Croquet, American 6-Wicket and Association Croquet.
- Macey is a -2.5 handicap in American 6-Wicket and consistently places in the top ten in the 6W Nationals
- Macey is a US top 20 Association Croquet player and represented the USA in the 2018 and 2019 British Open Championships.
- Macey is an accomplished tournament director, and has directed over 100 tournaments in the US including 10 Regional, 10 National Championships, and 6 Pro-Tour events.
- Macey is the founder, lead designer and lawn expert for the Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club, the largest croquet facility in the world with 24 championship courts and 300 members. The Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club held the World Croquet Federation Golf Croquet Championship in 2024.
Macey is a retired PhD Chemist living in Hartfield Virginia and spends most of his time finding ways to advance croquet in the US.
